Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I understand this is a big ask especially in this uncertain climate. However, as some of you may know someone very dear to me went missing in October 2021. As distressing as this time was, the support given by Warwickshire Search and Rescue made it that little less unbearable. 

Warwickshire Search and Rescue are an operational lowland rescue team, set up to assist the Police with searches for vulnerable missing persons in and around Warwickshire.

The team were quick to respond, some making a 2 hour journey before even beginning the search. Selflessly they worked around the clock coordinating a grid by grid search of the surrounding area, for a number of volunteers their actual working day was fast approaching, yet still they stayed the course! 

Warwickshire Search and Rescue is on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year. They are a registered charity and receive no funding from the government. All of its members are unpaid volunteers, who finance their own personal kit and travel expenses. They rely completely on donations to keep the team operational, purchase essential team equipment and access professional training for its members.

While at this time I’m unable to volunteer my services for WarkSAR, the challenge to climb Snowdon seemed a good starting point to raise awareness and as much funding as possible to support these amazing volunteers. 

So..! If I could gently persuade you to donate whatever you feel you have spare at a very worthy cause, myself and my fellow team of climbers would be enormously grateful for the support, as would the unsung hero’s of team Warwickshire search and rescue. 🙏🏽
