Myself and my brother have decided to complete this challenge, climbing Snowdon, Cadr Idris and Penyfan - a total of approx. 2300m on foot and also cycling between each peak consisting of a distance of approx. 200km and approx. 3500m of climbing (according to Strava) over the weekend of 11th and 12th of June.

In doing so we are hoping to raise as much money as we can for Heart Heroes, a fantastic charity providing incredible support to families of children with heart conditions.

My fiancée and I particularly found meeting other families and sharing our experiences extremely helpful after the birth of our daughter Efa who in the 20 week scan was diagnosed with co-arctation of the aorta and required surgery at Bristol Children's Hospital at 8 days old.

Efa is now 1 year and 3 months old and doing very well.

As a result of Efa's condition we as a family were asked to check our hearts and whilst as parents we are fine, it came as a devastating shock that our seemingly healthy, energetic, bright 3 year old Jac is likely to have a congenital heart defect, different to that of Efa's but that is likely to also require open heart surgery.

We know that the support that we as parents and Jac and Efa will have as children being involved in Heart Heroes events will be invaluable to us in the coming years and we hope that your donations will help others who find themselves in a similar position to ourselves.
