Story
On 4th March, our Dad, David, sadly passed away following a brain hemorrhage. We are raising money in his memory for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, of which Dad was a member and supporter.
From being a young boy enjoying walks in the countryside with his Grandad, Dad had a lifelong passion for nature. All who knew him will remember him particularly as an avid birdwatcher, always happy with a pair of binoculars in hand, observing birds both large and small.
His children and grandchildren enjoyed many a family day out with Dad at various Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust sites, with Martin Mere being a particular favourite.
Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust deliver conservation programmes to protect threatened wetlands and wetland species. In addition to having ten sites in the UK, they work with communities around the world who depend on wetlands and inspire people to take care of nature.
