This is a combination of donations for Beer Belly Running Events and David Hellard's challenges all for Street Child, an incredible charity, helping educate street children in the world's poorest countries.

Virgin Giving closed down with our original page where we'd raised 
£74,876.64, which when combined with government doubling and gift aid added up to £120,000 so we're continuing our efforts on here to hit £200k.

2) Podium at Man Vs Mountain - TICK - New Course Record - Super Sweet!

3) Podium at the Afghanistan marathon - 10th October TICK (kind of) Unofficially 3rd (if you discount the locals on motorbikes)

4) Break the record for the London Underground Marathon - TICK

5) Podium at the Fan Dance (SAS Selection Test) - Withdraw due to ankle

6) Podium at an Ultra - TICK - Dorset Coastal Trail Ultra 33m, Country 2 Capital 45m, Pilgrim Challenge 66m, Edinburgh Ultra

6) Finish elite at the Marathon des Sables'The Toughest Footrace on Earth' - TICK

7) Finish top 20 in the MDS - 17th TICK

8) Finish 1st Brit at the MDS - TICK - Yeeha!

2013 Challenges:

1) Pacemake the Brighton marathon in under 3.15 (with no tapering) – top 7% of marathon runners. TICK - 3.14

2) Run the London marathon a week later and be winning the entire race at the 400 meter point – TICK - leading the London Marathon

3) Finish the London marathon in a good for age time - sub 3.10 (with no taper & target 2 could scupper this). TICK - 3.03

4) Top ten in the world’s largest assault course 3 weeks later (20 miles and 200 obstacles). TICK - fastest time.

5) Podium at the Sierra Leone marathon - 2 weeks later. TICK - first international finisher

6) Finish the Sierra Leone marathon sub 3hrs - FAIL - 3.15 - food coming up and down.

To give you an idea of where your money goes, here are some examples:

£1 Buys a child a pair of sandals.

£5 Buys a rucksack, exercise books, pens and pencils for school.

£15 Feeds a child twice a day for a month.

£40 Pays for a child to attend school for an entire year.

£100 Pays the monthly salary of a nurse or social worker.

£500 Funds a child from life on the street to life at home. This includes school fees, counselling, skills training, sanitary products, staff costs, and the small business grant their families can receive to help them set up on their own and support their own children.

£1000+ Funds the construction of a temporary class-room or mini-‘school’ in a rural.
