Story

On Sunday 25 October I will be braving the British weather and joining other crazy fundraisers in Southend-On-Sea to ride the Green Scream roller coaster NAKED! Yes, you read that correctly!

This is to try to beat the existing Guinness World Record of 102 naked riders (and as I was one of those riders I want to keep my World Record!)...however the real reason for doing this is to raise essential funds for keyhole cancer surgery equipment.

By Donating you are helping to raise £600,000 to provide a new, state-of-the-art laparoscopic (keyhole Surgery) theatre suite at Southend Hospital.  This will enable surgeons there to perform the latest and most complex keyhole procedures for patients undergoing cancer and general surgery. Hundreds of patients are likely to benefit each year - including people suffering with bowel and prostate cancer or gynaecological conditions. Many of these patients would have previously had to have 'open surgery' which would mean much longer hospital stays and recovery times, plus greater post-operative pain and scarring.

Many of us will have had friends or family impacted by cancer, so I am sure you will agree that this is a cause worthy of support. No sane person would be stripping off in Britain at the end of October unless it was important...so please do help me raise loads of money for this appeal.

Don't forget that donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. You can also sponsor me by TEXT - simply text NUDE57 and your donation (e.g. £5) to 70070 (you can Gift Aid it at no extra cost).

I thank you most sincerely for supporting me...just keep your fingers crossed for an Indian Summer!
