Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I did the Great North Run yet again - my 29th time (I have missed 5 Runs altogether, but haven't missed any since 1988). As always it was a fun day, the supporting crowds lining the route were great! It was a bit too warm at times, and I'm getting older, so I went a bit slower, finishing in 2 hours 15 mins; at least I managed not to have to stop and walk at all!
This year I am raising money for the Children's Heart Unit Fund in Newcastle. They saved the life of our 2nd son 28 years ago when he was born with a faulty heart; he has recently finished a pure maths PhD which can't be bad after a shaky start to life! The Unit continues to save the lives of babies and children every day, so they are a very worthy cause.
