We raise funds to support The Walton Centre in Liverpool
Story
I
am running the Warrington Half Marathon to raise money in memory of Susie
Chiverton who was tragically killed through no fault of her own in a tragic
road accident. Susie
was taken to the Walton Centre in Warrington who specialise in Neuro-care. Her
last days were spent there and the staff were superb in the care they gave to
her. Susie was a true contributor to Lymm Hockey Club When a
volunteer was needed to umpire a game, Susie stuck her hand up first. When a
volunteer was needed to be Baby Spice for Karaoke night, Susie stuck her hand
up first. The same comments come up again and again no matter who you ask; “ zest
for life, always smiling and a true friend”. Susie gave her time willingly to anyone who asked, could always
be relied upon to always have a smile on her face, and was a true giver. For those that know me, running is not a hobby or
something that I find that enjoyable however Susie has inspired me to get up
and raise some money for a good cause. So I would ask you to please help me in
getting to my target and support the good work that Walton Hospital do everyday
to help save people who have epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, brain tumours,
Parkinson's disease, stroke, cancer, spinal pain and other neurological
diseases and trauma.
Thank
you for your support
