This year, thousands of tonnes of fruit and veg are in danger of being left unpicked in the UK due to Covid 19 travel restrictions. At a time when we need locally-grown, fresh food more than ever this seems beyond wasteful. However, thanks to a wonderful band of gleaners - brought together by a UK-wide Charity called Feedback who link volunteers with local farms - leftover fruit and veg can be picked and shared with local charities and organisations (foodbanks etc).
