Story

I am jumping out of a plane 15,000 feet up over the north coast on Saturday 10th June for Charlene's Project because I want to help children in Uganda get an education.

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Charlene's Project and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Charlene's Project has completed phase 1 of a local secondary school for the children of the 8 neighbouring primary schools in western Uganda where they have been working. The children previously had no hope of local secondary education - now they have classrooms, laboratories and teacher accommodation which has been finished to a very high quality. Solar electric, solar pumped water and WIFI has been connected - and over 400 children are already attending.

I am skydiving to help raise funds for the second phase of the building project which will include another classroom block, latrines and dormitories. I know your support will make a difference in this community in Uganda.

Charlene's Project was set up by Charlene Barr. Unable to go to school with deteriorating health she decided to fundraise to build a school in Uganda. She passed away in 2010 but her project continues and today Charlene's Project is working in 9 schools (8 primary and 1 secondary) in western Uganda.
