Darcie is donating Her lovely long Hair to Princess Trust

Gillian Flood is raising money for Everton in the Community

Darcie is donating her Lovely long hair to the Little Princess Trust & Raising money for The Peoples Place (Everton in the Community) · 16 January 2021

We aim to build and run a facility in the shadows of Goodison Park to promote positive mental health and provide support related to suicide awareness and prevention.

Story

9 year old Darcie has been growing her hair for years and has always wanted to donate for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatments.  She will be getting her lovely long locks of hair cut off on the 16th January 2021.  Darcie is a very caring little girl and also wanted to raise money to help people in her local community. So any funds raised by this will be donated to “The Peoples Place”, which is a Everton in the community Project which promotes Positive Mental Health.

The People's Place aims to lift the lid on the taboo subject of mental health and encourage people to talk more freely and openly when they are experiencing problems. Promoting positive mental health and encouraging conversations about mental health will help improve the health of individuals. This is important as improved mental health is associated with a range of better outcomes for people of all ages and backgrounds including improved physical health and life expectancy, better educational achievement, increased skills, reduced health risk behaviours, reduced risk of mental health problems and suicide and higher levels of social interaction and participation.
