Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have always looked on those that do fundraising runs and walks with real admiration. So I've decided to sign up to the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 24th July with Mark and a few other charitable colleagues!
The walk itself is a 25 mile circular challenge covering the Three Peaks of Yorkshire and normally starts and finishes at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire - Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m) - in that order. The total distance may vary slightly, as there are a few minor route options, but for most the walk will be just under 25 miles.
We will arrive Friday, camp, tackle the peaks from early Saturday morning and hopefully survive to enjoy a few pints afterwards before returning to our tent, we'll then travel home to nurse our blisters Sunday.
We're doing the walk in aid of The Sick Children's Trust, The Sick Children’s Trust believes that no child should be separated from their family while in hospital receiving treatment for serious illness – the charity helps to allow the most basic of medicines to work: family love and support.
