Hi Everyone - Thank you so much in advance for any donations big or small for my Go Sober for October efforts! 

The Advanta Foundation every year helps children every year in both the UK and Abroad. It provides help for children in many ways from providing food, education and housing for children living in poverty to providing respite care for child carers.

The charity has always been a group-wide initiative which staff in our Glasgow and London offices have been passionately committed to. Throughout the years, our calendar has always been peppered with fundraising events, big and small, that were designed to raise money for children’s charities both in the UK and abroad.

Over the past 14 years, we have hosted a huge number of social fundraisers and also undertaken a large number of physical challenges including climbing Kilimanjaro and travelling from summit to sea in Borneo to name only a few. We have also, in the past 7 years, run a number of volunteer programmes in Vietnam and more recently, Tanzania. Obviously due to Covid-19 the fundraising efforts have been somewhat stilted and we have unfortunately had 2 fundraising events cancelled already and are now moving to virtual ones to raise some money for the charity. 

A large number of children’s charities, both at home and overseas, have benefited from our donations over the years. These include, but are not exclusive to,  PEEK,  the Children’s Hospice Association for Scotland, The Jeely Piece Club, The Music for Life Program in Kenya, The Tunahaki Foundation in Tanzania, The Catalyst Foundation and the School of Excellence in Namanditi, Tanzania.

We have always funded 100% of all events and trips which means that every single penny ever raised has gone to help a child in need. Our rule has always been that for every pound raised, 50p is given to charities in the UK and 50p is given to charities overseas.
