Story
On the 20th september 2011 myself and many others lost a dear friend, aunty, sister, daughter and fiancee aged just 25 to Leukaemia.
Donna was such a wonderful, amazing person, who touched the lives of everyone she met, she would cheer you up if you were down, make you feel good when you felt rubbish, make you laugh at something that wasnt funny!!! .... she had the kindest of hearts, and the wamest smile.
Donna had her whole life ahead of her.
Donna was dignosed on Thursday the 15th of September and died on Tuesday the 20th September 2011.
Despite Donna's frequent trips to the Doctors, Donna's Leukaemia was detected too late. I believe that Donna was never given the chance to fight this cancer.
I want to raise money in memory of Donna, to a chairty that essures more people with Leukaemia survive.
On Sunday the 25th of March myself and members of my family are running stafford half marathon, we aim to complete the full 13.1 miles in a personal best time.
Between the 8th and 9th mile of the route we run by Stafford crematorium where Donna was laid to rest, this will be the most encouraging part of the run for me and a powerful reminder of why we are all doing this huge challenge!
Please support us by donating what you can. Donna was one of the less fortunate one's, but there are people out there like Donna that still need our support.
Donna may not of survived but she is very much alive in all our memories, and will live on through all of us.
We all miss you Donna, hope we do you proud!! xx
