This year, 29th Oct, will mark my 8th-year of diagnosis (with just 2 years left until I have the official all clear), that's 1/3 of my life!

This will also be my 5th year with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.  The trust has played a vital part in my post-treatment recovery and I now volunteer with them.

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity that supports young people aged 8-24 in rebuilding their confidence after cancer. Better connections, Bigger Impact - Trust ambitions 2020-2022 (Announced 4th Feb).

What is your impact?

  • £15 will pay for summer essentials water bottle and suncream for a trip
  • £55 Feeds one young person for the four days of their first Trust sailing trip
  • £90 Pays for the boats to berth at the different marinas during a week's trip
  • £550 The cost for one young person's full trip.
Currently, for every young person supported by the trust, there are 9 that aren't. I went on 3 trips as a young person so my goal is to raise enough for 3 more young people to have the opportunity £1,650.

Throughout the year I will be doing various challenges to raise the funds... Watch this space.

Thank you for reading this and considering to donate.

About the charity

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.
