Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2016, I will begin my challenge of cycling the length of Britain, starting at John O' Groats and finishing at Land's End. Covering almost 1000 miles, I aim to cycle over 70 miles a day for 14 consecutive days! Originally, my proposed challenge was an unsupported run of the same route. However, after developing a stress fracture in my shin only a matter of days before my start date, I have chosen to tackle the JOGLE route on two wheels rather than two feet!

I will be taking on this challenge in support of the Samaritans. The Samaritans are a charity organisation that provide entirely free and volunteer based service throughout the UK. They are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to support people in need at the darkest points in their lives. In 2010, the Samaritans helped me to overcome my battle with severe anxiety and depression, which plagued the majority of my teenage years. I'm incredibly fortunate today to be in a position to give back! And with your help, we can do just that!

The suicide rate within the UK is still rising and cannot be ignored! Our understanding and appreciation of mental health has come leaps and bounds in recent years, and I aim to continue that process. Your donations aren't just helping to keep a superb charity fully functioning, they are also a clear statement to those who are suffering, that they are not alone.

I will be logging my training and preparation progress across social media throughout the following year. To stay up to date, you can follow me at:

You can also keep up to date through my blog, where I will be documenting my training and discussing the key issues surrounding mental health and how its viewed in society today:
