Story
Aaden was an amazing & adorable 2 year old boy, who was known as a dancing ninja. He loved music, singing, dancing, & laughing with his identical twin brother Andy. Aaden was extremely easy going, his giggles & smiles lit up the room. He loved to give high-5's.
Aaden was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia Megakaryocytic in August of 2010 when he was just 17 months. Known as AML M7 , it is a rare type of blood & bone marrow cancer, where too many abnormal while blood cells are found in the bone marrow & are unable to ward off infections. He was in & out of the hospital for 8 1/2 months & went through 5 1/2 rounds of intense chemotherapy, & 3 major surgeries. He literally spent almost half of his life fighting cancer but could not win. He died on April 28, 2011, just one month & a week , after he turned 2.
Because Aaden is no longer here with us, we want to continue to fight cancer for him. We don't want any other children & their families to have to endure what we did. Unravel is how we chose to do it, by spreading awareness & raising funds. Please consider contributing to make sure this doesn't happen to others & to take some action to Unravel Pediatric Cancer.
For Aaden, we continue to dance, just as he did through adversity. "Life might not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here, we might as well dance."
