Cash transfers are one of the most researched development interventions (https://www.givedirectly.org/research-on-cash-transfers/). They reduce poverty, increase use of health services, increase women's decision-making power and raise school attendance, and they give people living in poverty the autonomy to decide how to use and invest their own money.
