As some of you may know, over the summer I have been working with a Vocational charity called CVQO. From this I have been taking part in an expedition with them, working with local charities in Cornwall. Our title of the expedition is “Think Global, Act Local”. 

We are raising money to support the incredible charities that we have been working with. Each charity is unique in its own way and they all have worthwhile causes for either protecting the environment or helping those in need. 

For my fundraising, I have designed a mini brand called ‘As fresh as a Daisy - Natural Scents’. I am making scented candles that represent the the 5 charities we have worked with.

✨I will be selling my candles for £6.50 each or 2 for £12*. The scents are listed below.

• Evergreen - for Cornwall Wildlife Trust. A Green candle with an “evergreen” scent consisting of a combination of that fresh plant smell 💚

• Lavender - for Shelter Box.  A purple, lavender scented candle. Shelter Box helps families in need and as lavender is a relaxing scent, I am using it to represent the stress-relief that Shelter Box brings to the people it helps 💜

• Lime Basil & Mandarin - for The Waves Project. This charity use ‘surf therapy’ to help improve the mental health of young people. Citrus smells reduce anxiety and encourage energy and positive moods. For the waves project I have chosen to do a candle with a Lime Basil &  Mandarin smell to boost positive moods and energy! 🤍

• Ocean - for Surfers Against Sewage. This charity protects beaches, marine life and oceans. I have come up with a blue candle with that subtle, salty, fresh smell of the sea like when you walk onto a beach! 💙

• Sweet Mint & Eucalyptus - for the Eden Project. For this charity, I have chosen this scent to represent the different plants and biomes that the Eden Project looks after, as there are so many colors, shapes and sizes and amazing smells!💗
