My friend Emma Welch started raising funds for Brain tumour research after her minister was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Her first world record attempt was to climb the height of Mount Everest on the indoor climbing wall at Writhlington Sports Centre., she was 12 years old. Then at 13, she cycled 1000 miles and at 14 she hosted the largest Teddy bears tea party at the top of Mount Snowdon.
Emma did all this even though she had scoliosis. Unfortunately following complications from an operation to straighten her spine Emma died on 4th June, 2015 at the age of 14.
I was one of the bears that went with Emma to the mountain top and with the help of Victoria i am hoping to continue to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research the charity which was close to Emma's heart.
