We support families affected by Zellwegers to offer emotional and financial support

Story

Every year DOV carry out various collections and fund raising events to help out our good friends at ZUK.

To start with we raised £575 for ZUK to supply a family in need with a respite weekend.

We then raised the bar and doubled that, raising a further £1150 allowing ZUK to supply a further 2 families with respite weekends.

Not stopping there we the set our focus on raising £1340 to enable ZUK to purchased an SP02 Oximeter, patient monitor with a full 4 year warranty to loan to families in need of them (usually end of life monitoring).

We now have a new home for pooling all of our collections as we aim towards purchasing a 2nd SP02 Oximeter, patient monitor with extended warranty plan to build a small bank of support when its needed.

It can sometimes be hard to get hold of a monitor due to location or funding restraints so by doing this we believe we can make a real difference with critical timing.

Again we have set the target at £1340 and we all look forward to watching our target fulfill.

We will also be having some DOV SUPPORTS ZUK charity stickers made this year with 100% of the profits donated this page to help reach the target.

We are also more than grateful of any other donations made by club members or the public direct to this page and thank you all so much for you support.

We offer emotional support and provide financial support to families in the way of small grants towards non state funded equipment. We are looking to raise awareness of this unexposed condition and help towards funding research into desperately needed, effective treatments, of which there are currently none.
