I’m proud to tell you that I am participating in an expedition along the Jordan trail to the ancient treasury in Petra in aid of people living in poverty in the Rif Mountains and I’d like to ask for your help with our fundraising.

In its simplest terms, the Challenge is a 5 day, 80 km charity trek across Jordan’s desert, mountain, canyon and wadi landscapes to raise funds for Rifcom. We will have to cross through the Dana
Biosphere Reserve finally arriving in Petra with only mules to help share the load, sleeping “rough” in tents and (not to mention the lack of bathroom facilities!) and generally suffering for the cause !  Some of you might remember that some years ago I participated in a charity trek that crossed the Rif Mountains and I have experienced first hand how it’s inhabitants live, below the poverty line in often harsh conditions.
