Gulf War What?
Since the conflict in 1991, thousands of veterans from allied services have identified and continue to report the effects and impact of what has come to be termed "Gulf War Syndrome." Despite the numbers and despite the evidence to the contrary there has been little acknowledgement of the scope of this illness. Research suggests that as many as 33,000 UK Gulf War veterans could be living with Gulf War illnesses.
Why Should you support the British Legion?
Fortunately organisations such as the British Legion are campaigning to raise awareness of this syndrome.
They believe it is important that Gulf War veterans who have developed illnesses as a result of their Service should be properly supported and that there should be improved awareness of the specific health needs of this particular group of veterans.
Supported by the National Gulf Veterans and Families Association and with the help of a charity as significant as the British Legion, veterans may yet get some of the support they deserve.
Please dig deep and help if you can.
A Massive Thank You!
