Story

After hitting the gym and losing a helluva lot of podge I have decided to challenge myself to four big events this year in the hope that I can raise some funds for the wonderful children and young people I have worked with over the past 7 years...Brightening Lives and Building Futures

On the 24th May I will be running with Team Birtenshaw in the Manchester 10k run...last time I did it my fat legs resembled two very chaffed slabs of gammon and I didn't manage to run the whole thing...

New challenge added...10 mile Tough Mudder...I have never done it before but I guess it will be great practice for the week after...

On the 21st June I'll be embarking on a 5km, 23 obstacle long, VERY muddy course...probably ending up looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator!

On the 29th August I'll be doing my longest open water swim yet in the chilly waters of Loch Lomond. The 3km swim is set in deep dark waters...I'm hoping Nessy might hop into this Loch from Loch Ness and give me a ride but that is only a pipe dream at the moment.

Then...after a wetsuit change of course...I'll be hopping into my hiking boots and climbing the 17km Ben Nevis where I will crack open the whisky and contemplate my silly life choices :)

Anyway please sponsor me and if I don't survive please can you tell Nessy that he totally let me down

Thank you wonderful people <3 x
