Story
That's right. I'm going to be doing three physical activities in just one day. One of which is hiking to the highest point in Wales.
Since retiring from running in 2011 and falling off a bouncy castle in 2012 it is fair to say my levels of fitness have declined somewhat.
I've decided to do something about it in 2014 and will be joining with some of my fantastic colleagues to raise money for the amazing charity we work for.
The details of the challenge are as follows:
Cycle 15km around Snowdon.
Hike 17km up and down Snowdon.
Kayak 3km along Snowdon.
All in one day. Ow! I can feel the blisters forming already.
Any sponsorship you can give will be greatly appreciated and keep me motivated as I train for the challenge in September.
I know many of you will think such a challenge will be a doddle for a natural athlete like myself, but it's going to be tough and take lots of training.
By sponsoring me you'll be helping some of the amazing children and young people I work with. You can read some of their stories on our website.
I'll leave you with a quote from one of the grateful parents of our early years service:
"Taking her to the drop-in nursery also means I’m making friends with others parents who are going through similar experiences that we can share. It really helps to have a support network from the staff and the friends I have made.
"I can now see a brighter future for Elena. She has already started to explore with different types of food and her progress is absolutely encouraging. I feel she has become braver!
"The drop-in nursery service made this all possible, and has made a massive difference to our lives, I can now play with Elena again."
Thanks for donating and helping more blind toddlers like Elena.
