Craig's story

On October the 6th I will be taking on my first and last organised run. The great Cardiff Half Marathon.

I am not a natural runner, I am not that great at running and neither do I enjoy it.

I was inspired by my wife Sally who completed the Swansea half marathon earlier this year.  Sally has similar feelings to myself when it comes to running, however she still gave it her all and made it.

Over the past 6 months I have spent some time with the Managing Director of Age Connects Morgannwg and I have learnt a lot about the great service and support they give to the older members of our community, they are about older people getting the help they want, when they want it. They work to ensure that those who are vulnerable and at risk are kept safe.

So, inspired by my wife and asked to join the Age Connects Morgannwg running team, here I am, running the Cardiff half.
