It has been my pleasure to have served on the Board for over ten years.  I want to thank those individuals who have contributed so generously to the Y during these years.  Your selflessness has helped make the Y an important part of improving lives through child care, exercise, social programs, teen development and family services. 

Here are a few facts of how the Ross Farnsworth East Valley Y helped families during this past year:

1.  620 children participated in our Fall and Winter sports programs.

2.  Over 30 kids per week participated in our After-school program.

3.  Over 20 kids per week participated in our Emergency Child Care Program and our Y Academy On Line Learning Program

4.  Over 90 families were given Thanksgiving baskets in November so they could have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.

5.  Over the past two years more than $200,000 in financial aid was given to families, thus making sure that the Y can continue its tradition of never turning away a family because of financial need.

Obviously, you can see that the YMCA is more than a fitness center.

We are now entering our Annual Community Support Campaign.  Through this campaign we are working to ensure a brighter future for families in the East Valley. Together we can make a significant difference in the lives of the families in our community.
