Story
The Helen Bamber Foundation is a human rights charity based in London. Their team of experts provides therapeutic care, medical consultation, legal protection and practical support to survivors of extreme human rights violations. They work with the most vulnerable and marginalised people in society: those who are haunted by memories of entrapment, rape, trafficking and torture and who suffer unbearable flashbacks and nightmares.
To raise funds for them I am going to attempt to sing 100 songs on one day. I intend to stream the event live on Facebook for as long as my phone doesn’t melt. What can you expect? Well, not all my usual power ballads but a more mellow set mainly considering of 60s classics and plenty of other gems including some from musical theatre.
I’ve no idea if my old voice will hold out but if it doesn’t I will finish the songs on the following day or so. Wish me luck!
The event will be streamed from @ColinWVocalist on Facebook from 1.30 pm on Friday 30 April 2021. Hope to see you there. If all goes well we will be done by 9.30 pm ❤️🙏😄
