Story
Borders Forest Trust (BFT) celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2021. Over the last 25 years we have been reviving the Wild Heart of Southern Scotland by planting nearly 2 million trees (we’ll reach that magic number this year), restoring peatlands and lost habitats, and helping nature regenerate an area covering 31 square km. Our symbol of hope, the Survivor Tree, is UK Tree of the Year 2020. This is just the beginning of our long term commitment to the ecological restoration of the Wild Heart of Southern Scotland. This region has the lowest coverage of native trees anywhere in Scotland and we need your help to ensure these trees continue to thrive and even more native trees are planted with them. We're asking all our supporters and friends to celebrate our 25th anniversary by joining in our 25 for 25 Fundraising Challenge.
I'm a freelance photographer and a BFT Trustee, and I have been photographing BFT properties since 2017, so I have produced 25 limited edition photographs (five prints of each of five images) of BFT properties. You can view them in the Gallery at the top of this page. The giclée prints are made with archival inks on acid free cotton rag paper. They are each window mounted with textured white mount board (the mount measures 250x200mm) and a backing board, and sealed in a protective clear envelope. You can have a print of your choice for a minimum donation of £15 (just don't tick the Gift Aid box if you want a print because if you receive something in return for your donation it's not eligible for Gift Aid).
To receive your print, drop me an email at colinmclean100@icloud.com with your choice and your address and I’ll arrange to send it to you.
