Story

Saturday 15 October 2016 marks 20 years since Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s brainchild, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, first set sail and opened global ocean racing to everyday adventurers. Ten editions later the challenge, still the only of its kind, is regarded as one of the toughest human endurance tests on the planet.

Founding partners William Ward and Sir Robin, together with fellow pioneers, explorers and adventurers, are celebrating the power of the human spirit, and those who have dared to extend their limits beyond everyday existence.

If you are unable to attend the event and would like to make a donation to mark this occasion, your gift will be gratefully received by Unicef UK.

All proceeds raised from ticket sales and auctions will also benefit the Official Clipper Race Charity, Unicef.
