I recently registered to participate in a fundraising event called the First Coast Sleep Out Challenge. Proceeds will benefit the Alpha-Omega Miracle Home in St. Augustine, FL, in support of their efforts to help young women, their children and senior women transition out of poverty and homelessness.This event is the first of its kind in our area. I will be a participating with a small group of business, community and faith leaders from our region. I've learned that Sleep Out events are a global movement, attracting people from all walks of life. I will be sleeping out, all night, Friday, Dec. 4, 2020. This will be ONE night to shine MY light on homelessness. Rather than pretending to be homeless, I will be taking part in an overnight experience to understand, reflect, and build awareness.This is where you come in!
