Story
It is very soon the Merry Mullet Month of May, and as such I have decided to have my hair pruned into a mullet for the period and raise money for local charity Grooveschool. There were many mullets to choose from:
The still fashionable Eastern Bloc mullet aka The
Iron Curtain aka The Prague Spring
The middle-aged Fading Glory aka The A & R Man
aka The I Saw Zeppelin Before They Were Famous
I could go gender fluid and have The Femullet aka
The Ripley aka Neunundneunzig rote Luftballons
But my ancestry has forced my hand to go VIKING.
Grooveschool aims to benefit people from low income families, NEET (“not in education, employment or training”), SEN/D (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), those with multiple disabilities, those in need as a result of unemployment, people in care and in hospices, also the elderly, especially Alzheimer sufferers. We provide classes for ages 8yrs and upwards and include SEN provision. We supply peripatetic DJ tutors for music lessons including those studying for GCSE music. For family and wellbeing we run quality parent/child after-school bonding programmes.
“I really love what the guys at Grooveschool are doing and very proud to be involved in it. The transformation and focus of the kids happens in seconds and it's great to see the joy on their faces when they
grasp the concept. The dedication of Richie and the crew is amazing and it's great to see lots of A1 level DJs getting involved. Should be part of every school curriculum.” Colin Dale, Abstrakt Dance Records
