Our mother Clare always took care of the older people in her life. She gave her friendship and practical support to elderly friends, neighbours and relatives in the local area for decades. Even into her own later years she thought of the 'old folk' when musing on who might benefit from the abundance of apples from the tree in her garden.

As she got older she was always grateful for all the people who visited to brighten up her day or supported her in some helpful way with a thoughtful gift or household chore. She was only too aware than not all older poeple had the benefit of a big family.

So in lieu of flowers for her funeral we are collecting contributions to be donated to the branch of AgeUK that takes care of people in Havering.

We hope it helps a bit, and know she would approve.
