Swimathon for orphans with inadequate washrooms and toilets

Clare Khan is raising money for Eusebia Hope Foundation

Swimathon for orphans with inadequate washrooms and toilets · 22 March 2022

In 2004 in Igoji, Kenya, midwife Eusebia Hope began cooking for street children, many orphaned due to HIV/AIDS. Her act of compassion became a lifeline. Though she died in 2013, her daughter Christine and trustees continue her work, giving over 50 vulnerable children food, care and hope.

Story

Jess, Annabelle, Gabi, Grace, Lucy, Bella T, Hessie, Amy, Ollie N and Joseph B are all taking on the challenge of swimming 10000m ( 1000m for each child) during their swimming lesson.

They are hoping to raise as much money as possible to build an ablution block with flushing toilets and eco friendly showers . They are also wanting to help with water harvesting initiatives and maybe if funds permit install solar power .

Please help the children with their challenge of making the orphans lives better.
