Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am planning to cycle the coast-to-coast route from Whitehaven to Newcastle with a group of people from the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD), where I work. We have booked accommodation and bought a book of the route. We plan to do it in three days; starting on Saturday 22nd May and finishing on Monday 24th May. We have organised this ourselves and we are paying our own expenses so that all the money we raise will go directly to our charities.

I am raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of Kenneth William Thomas, my dad, who died on February 9th 2008 two days before his 69th birthday.

My colleagues are raising money for other good causes. Gill and Morag are raising money for ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices) a charity that supports people who are told the baby they are expecting may have an abnormality, see http://www.justgiving.com/gill-king-morag-heirs

Emma is raising money for the British Heart Foundation, see http://www.justgiving.com/Emma-Maund

Fiona and her partner are raising money for Cancer Research UK, details will follow soon...

I am also doing the Newcastle bra walk in July this year for Cancer Research, with a group from CRD, and we have a joint fundraising page: http://www.walkthewalkfundraising.org/the_yorkie_bras
