FINAL UPDATE
Well here we are, day 31 and the final day of our Bow Wow Row in support of Bristol DAWG.
We’re delighted and relieved to report that we’ve both completed our personal targets – Claire has rowed for 20 minutes and 20 seconds every day (completing over 100km in the process) and Marcus has completed a whopping 300km (98km more than his original target).
It’s not been easy, in particular on those long since forgotten summer days when it was over 30c outside…… We’ve got callouses on our hands to prove the effort we’ve put in, but it’s been absolutely and thoroughly worth it.
We’ve been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our family, friends, work colleagues (both past and present) and the fellow supporters of Bristol DAWG – having raised £975 to date – which is so much more than we could ever have hoped for in these difficult times and more than on either of our previous challenges.
We really do hope that the money we’ve raised will help to rescue and find homes for more greyhounds like Gracie and Joe – we’re so very lucky to have them and they really do make the greatest addition to any family.
For anyone that hasn’t yet given, it’s not too late. Whilst our challenge has been completed, the charity will always need funds, and any pennies or pounds that you can spare will certainly be put to greyt use.
Thanks again for your support both moral and financial.
Claire & Marcus, Gracie and Joe xx

ORIGINAL POST
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
It's been 3 years since we cycled 1,120km in August to help raise money to enable Bristol DAWG to save greyhounds like our Gracie and Joe.
Three years have passed and we live in a world where every charity is struggling to raise funds due to COVID-19. But DAWG still have hungry greyhound and lurcher mouths to feed and vet bills to pay for.
So, we thought it was about time that we made another effort to raise funds for the greyt work that Bristol DAWG do by giving ourselves a challenge.
What do we have planned? It's called the Bow Wow Row....
What's it about? The challenge is water based (sort of)....
Marcus will be rowing 202.0km on our indoor rower during August. That's the equivalent of 6.52 kilometres, or just over 4 miles, per day, whilst Claire will be rowing for 20 minutes and 20 seconds every day.
To help us through, we would very much appreciate your sponsorship. Any amount, big or small, will be very much appreciated.
To get our quest to raise £404.00 going, we are going to donate £40.40 (or £20.20 each) towards our target, leaving us just another £363.60 to raise.
Thank you to everyone in advance for your generous support. Updates on our progress will of course be provided.
