Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Oliver, Martin, Ciara, Paul and Emma will be running the Belfast City Marathon to raise funds for the charity Friends of Africa.

In June Ciara is travelling, with a group of 6 other volunteers, to Zambia for six weeks with the charity Friends of Africa.  Many children in Zambia have been orphaned and have been forced to grow up on the streets.  Several of these children abuse drugs and statistics show 1 in 4 have the HIV virus.  Ciara will be working closely with these children and the local community to provide these children with the shelter, support network and education they deserve.

What's great about Friends of Africa is that it is a locally based charity with no administration costs and all the volunteers have already paid their own travel and accomodation costs.  Therefore all donations go directly and entirely to help the street children of Zambia!

Every little helps and any sponsorship/donation of any size would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Ciara, Martin, Oliver, Paul & Emma
