7th BIRTHDAY / HOLIDAY 2020 UPDATE
Happy Holidays! We are so grateful for all your love and support. Despite the challenges of 2020, we are thankful for this year together. Christopher continues to enjoy school and has done a great job adjusting to online learning. This year he has become an expert at science experiments, has been honing his chef skills, and now has a deep passion for all things Star Wars – especially lightsaber battles with Daddy! We were fortunate to go on a Bahamas Disney Cruise with our dear friends before the pandemic started. Christopher loved the boat, meeting all the characters, great beach time, and most of all playing with his friends. We even played with and fed dolphins!
May brought a surprise visitor to us – a baby fawn was born in our back yard. Leia, as Chris named her, stayed in our garden with her Mom for 2 months and we loved seeing her grow up! We have had a nice distraction since July as we moved into a new house, a whole 3 blocks away! It has been fun decorating and organizing the new space, meeting wonderful new neighbors, and having many bonfires. We were fortunate to visit both Rochester and Michigan this summer to see family and spend cherished time together. We celebrated Christopher’s 7th birthday with a fun zoom magic party. Christopher loves his amazing new go-kart and had been roaming the neighborhood.
On a more difficult note, most recently, Christopher’s disease has progressed significantly. As we all learn to adapt to the new challenges we remain in awe of his courage, kindness, intellect, and love. He is truly our angel.
