Story

Pilar Caton passed away peacefully at Royal Preston Hospital on Sunday 3rd May, aged 61 years. Beloved wife of Christopher, loving mother of Michael, precious daughter of Adriana and caring sister of Pedro and Elsa.

Pilar was born in Ecuador in a small town called Bahia de Caraquez and the family then moved to the city of Guayaquil. In 1983 she met Chris, who was working there for a Preston based Aerospace Company. They married and moved to live in the UK in 1993, in 1996 Chris’s work took them to live in Indonesia. In 1998 Michael was born and the family returned to the UK in 2004. In 2006 the family went to Bahrain again with Chris’s job. The family settled back in the UK in 2007 for Michael’s education.

Pilar really enjoyed life in the UK and quickly established an ever-growing social circle of Latin American friends, welcoming new friends to the group continuously and enjoyed nothing more than organising social gatherings at her house, especially for New Year celebrations. I feel that “Life and Soul” of the party would describe her personality very well!
