Dear Family, Friends and Neighbors,
I am raising money for my friend’s mom’s organization - Wender Weis Foundation for Children by swimming laps. For each dollar I raise, I will swim 25 yards. The money will go to purchasing food and household supplies for financially vulnerable families in need during the holidays.
Examples of the items are:
- Diapers and wipes
- Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Shampoo and Conditioner – full sized toiletries
- Pop-top soup cans (with protein)
- Grocery and Gas Station Gift Cards
- Sets of Legos
- Art Activity Projects

These are challenging times and, with so much uncertainty, we know that we need to adapt quickly to our changing reality. Now, more than ever, our community needs us. Our WWFC families need us. And we need you!While current circumstances necessitated a shift from our in-person Holiday Heroes event, we have found a creative way to create joy and spread holiday cheer this year while also raising much-needed funds for the ever-increasing number of families struggling right now.For the 2020 season, we will be bringing you Holiday Heroes at Home and raising funds and spirits for underserved children this holiday season.Join us as we create and send "Be-A-Hero" boxes to our pre-selected beneficiaries, which include holiday activities as well as essential items such as grocery, gas, and transportation gift cards, toiletries, and non-perishable food.
