So - the marathon is over. I went through the dark days of bad knees and chest infections, being told I shouldn't run, and I did anyway. It was great! Just over four hours. And I could still walk the next day.
I'm keeping this page active for a few more weeks - please don't think for a second that it's too late.

I only started running in October last year at the age of 40 following the death of my husband in August. It seemed that my body needed to run to turn down my brain and allow the grieving to happen.
So it seems fitting that I use this new activity to raise money as a way of showing gratitude towards an organisation who helped us when we most needed it. Towards the end of Ben's life he wanted to live in Norfolk. We were nervous of leaving behind the hospice support we had in London, especially we knew there wasn't a residential hospice in that part of Norfolk. I picked up the phone to Tapping House and they said "Whatever you need, we can help you with". It was hard to ask and so wonderful to receive with such generosity.
I now know that Tapping House only receive 11% of their funding from the NHS. Everything else comes from fundraising.
Please help me raise money for this organisation who made such a difference to my life. So they can continue to make real changes to so many other lives.
