Story
In the early hours on 30 July 2010 a tragic set of circumstances lead to the death of Alexander Codrington, aged 16. Alexander’s death brought great sadness to his parents Christopher and Noelle, his younger sister Cecilia and younger brother William, all his family and his many family friends and school friends. Our family have been so grateful for the love and support of family and friends.
As a family we have been supported and counselled by Child Bereavement UK. This charity is very unique in its approach and we have seen other families who have been so well supported by Child Bereavement UK. Child Bereavement UK aim is to support families and educate professionals when a child dies and when a child is bereaved. As a charity there is no cost to families for their professional and high quality child bereavement support. The charity relies on and needs donations to continue its amazing work supporting families and to grow so that it can help more people throughout the UK.
In recognition of the work Child Bereavement UK provide, a team of us have grouped together and with perseverance, sacrifice and pain we have been pounding the streets and lanes training to run the London Marathon to raise money for this wonderful charity.
Losing a child is something a parent should never have to go through, but when tragedy strikes Child Bereavement UK provide the most wonderful resource and experience across the UK to support and council grieving families.
