I am raising funds for the VSO (www.vso.org.uk) as I am new volunteer about to head off into the unknown and take up a job in a developing country for a year or so.

 

VSO is an organisation that matches skilled professionals with jobs based in local communities in developing countries. So I'll be swapping my heels and London lifestyle for the unknown -  where I could end up in a small village community with no electricity or running water for a few months.
