Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In the last few years running has been an integral part of my life where I have taken part in a number of organised events however, running a full marathon is something I still haven’t conquered. I have decided to take this on as a challenge, and do this for a worthy cause. I have thus decided to run the Virgin London Marathon 2019 in aid of St. John Ambulance.
St John Ambulance is the nation’s leading first aid charity who do a sterling job in providing first aid training to hundreds of thousands of people turning them into life savers. They also offer first aid at numerous events as well as supporting the 999 emergency service, allowing the NHS to focus on major transport accidents.
I have chosen to raise funds for this charity in commemoration of the life of my late cousin Jessica Micallef. Jessica has volunteered a lot of her time with the St. John Ambulance rescue corps in Malta – (A branch of St. John ambulance) helping out in numerous events. Sadly, she has tragically passed away in March this year (2018) at the young age of 22 in a car accident. She was always full of life with an infectious smile and was a great supporter of the charity, and I believe this is the best way in celebrating her life.
I have committed to raise £1,900 and whilst being aware that this is not an easy task to do I am determined to do my best for this noble cause. Any donations to help me achieve this goal will be greatly appreciated.
