Story
We've joined together to raise money for a scholarship fund for students at the University of Liverpool in memory of Professor Chris Mee and the considerable contribution he made throughout his career to classical archaeology. To kick start the fund Bruce Routledge and Matt Grove (from the department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology), and James Mee are running the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday, 29th March 2015, 9.00am.
This fund will support our students, enabling them to take part in activities such as participating in conferences, giving conference papers, going on field trips and working on excavations from which they will gain invaluable experience. Further to this, we also hope to begin a regular memorial lecture in his name, potentially each year, on subjects and by speakers that would have delighted Chris.
Please help us to create a scholarship fund to support our students and to celebrate Chris’s work as a classical archaeologist. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.
