After last year’s epic 900 mile ride through Frances Alps and Pyrenees Chris and Ross have looked a little closer to home for another challenge. Living at opposite ends of the country the natural choice was Lands End to John O’Groats (LEJOG). The next task was how to make it difficult, exciting and individual. Multiple well trodden routes of varying distances exist already, so we wanted to make our own. Several phone calls, cups of coffee and map searches later and a 1000 mile course was thrashed out. But it was missing something........a time limit! Reflecting on the 68 hours it took us to completed Frances 900 miles and 26 mountain climbs produced a flippant remark of ‘lets go quicker’. The figure plucked out of the air was 63 hours, and despite several rethinks it’s stuck.
So that’s it, 2 blokes, 1000 miles, no relaying, 63 hour time limit and undoubtedly typical British weather.
Why do this?
The aim is to raise money and awareness of the excellent work a Torbay based charity called THHN(Torbay Holiday Helpers Network) carry out. Torbay Holiday Helpers Network provides free fun filled memory making holidays, to families who have seriously ill children, families who are recently bereaved - having lost a child or parent and to families who have a terminally ill parent.

The ride will start on the May Bank Holiday from Lands End.
