Chris Rooney is raising money for Diabetes UK

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After watching for a number of years the Cycle 100 pass through Surrey and up those hills and I now can say... 'I have done it!'.

The training with friends and support from the Diabetes UK team has been excellent throughout and especially on the day.

This event has been a personal story with my daughter quietly dealing with Type 1, others in the family developing Type 2 and now me showing the signs (but don't we all?).

Throughout these many years the support through Diabetes UK and from the nurses has been incredible. This along with the new technologies to manage those blood sugar levels and the simple guidance on diet to help overcome this life problem needs to be supported.

Thanks to all who have donated to date and if anyone else could help me get over the £1000 mark that would be brilliant..
