A year on from Israel's attack on Gaza I am joining the Big Ride to raise awareness of the continuing plight of the Palestinian people. As well as the death of more than 2,200 Palestinians, Israeli's bombardment of the Gaza led to wide spread destruction of schools, hospitals and homes. Major public health infrastructure were destroyed or damaged including power, water and sanitation systems. Israeli’s devastating siege, that has continued now for almost ten years, now prevents the reconstruction that is desperately needed. 

The Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) is  a non-profit organization working for the human rights of children in the Middle East including Palestine. It does vital work tackling the physical and psychological trauma suffered by children in Gaza. For more details
