Story

My name is Chris Parsons and I am a lawyer with an international law firm. I will be attempting to walk 30 marathons in 30 days from Mumbai to Bangalore. A journey of 1260 kms to try and raise $1 million for widows and their children in India for the Loomba Foundation.

I met Raj Loomba a few years ago and was struck by his story and the work of the Loomba Foundation. In 2011 I cycled from London to Gibraltar through France and Spain and was able to raise around $200,000 for the Loomba Foundation. This time I will be setting off on foot from the Gateway of India on 10 January 2015.

2015 will represent 30 years at my firm and I can't think of a better way of celebrating that than by setting off on foot in the country that has become my second home to support the Loomba Foundation. My wife, Debbie, has got used to my crazy ideas so was less surprised than many when I said I wanted to mark my 30 years by walking 30 marathons in 30 days.
