5 Years ago I heard the words no son wants to hear... That my mum had been diagnosed with Cancer. Most people are affected by cancer in some way but its always a shock when someone so close is affected. Over the last five years my mum has had various treatments and this summer will be having what we hope to be the last treatment (a bone marrow transplant). My mum has been a true warrior throughout this time, taking little time off work and continuing to do her thing not letting this effect her. In addition to this the treatment and support she has received has been just amazing from doctors, nurses, hospital etc... I have set this challenge as a small gesture to acknowledge the great work the Lymphoma charity do for research and also willing to put myself through a small bit of hardship in recognition of how well my Mum has got on with things and been so positive throughout her treatments. The marathon is this October and I will son start training for it, I have set myself a big challenge in how much I which to raise but any donation will be gratefully received.
Please dig deep so more people are able to be helped, supported and most importantly cured of all types of Lymphoma.
