I will be taking part in my first ever 50 mile bike ride, 10 k race and triathlon this July in aid of Cancer research. A charity that is close to my heart and has affected close family members and myself. 

After being diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer earlier this year, I had two choices; to fear it or to face it and I chose to face it, doing everything in my power to aid my recovery. I'm choosing to do these events to raise money for cancer treatments and to raise awareness of cancers and skin cancer. 

I noticed a mole had grown on my head and decided to get it checked out. I now have a scar down my forehead and down the side of my head, from where the mole which was a tumour was removed. I wear these scars with pride. Join me in saying f*** cancer! Any donations are much appreciated.

Great Notts 50 mile 

Date: Sunday 26 June 2016

Venue: The route heads south through Wilford and into the Nottinghamshire countryside towards the Vale of Belvoir.

It then turns north through Elton and Kilvington before turning west towards Car Colston and East Bridgford.  The route finishes by passing through Radcliffe-on-Trent then returning via Holme Pierrepont and the Riverside path.
